gas is a hot air deception
to fill balloon heads
that drift away from reality
as the looming choice remains
face facts now and change it all
invent an entirely different world
live within our means
or wait to feel the full extent
the consequence
of a million miscalculations
and misplaced motivations
it won’t be pretty
there’s no easy path from this point
that crossroad happened years ago
one way is steep and full of rocks
the other leads over the cliff
